When I walk into a Sephora store in America it is the equivalent of a kid in a candy store, encapsulated by the sights, smells and colours it my feelings border into overwhelming.
The French founded makeup store now delivers to the UK, but that still cannot take away from my sheer excitement as we entered the heavy glass doors to Sephora in Soho, New York. Mainly in search for a new lightweight foundation, and to see what new products Kat Von D had on offer, I almost immediately got distracted and zig zagged down every isle.
Managing to compose myself and follow my original plan, I headed for the large Make Up For Ever area to get some advice on foundation. I was swept up into the directors style chair, and before I knew it I was getting a full make over whilst chatting away about big city life. This kind of attentive and informative service is one of the main reasons I love visiting the store; unlike many others the staff are not commission based and are not employed directly by a brand so give unbiased advice without being pushy with their sales.
Feeling a confident happiness after my makeover, I tried to show some self constraint whilst filling my little grey basket with products. I opted for a couple of sample sets of high-end eyeliners and mascaras, as well as a few more Kat Von D goodies to add to my collection.
Starting to go over my designated budget for the trip, Pablo kindly stepped in and purchased me the vibrant Mi Vida Loca eyeshadow palette. I am so excited to have refreshed my makeup collection and can’t wait to share some new looks with you guys on my YouTube channel.
