I am aware that Emma Inks has not been as busy as usual due to various disasters and my disorganised style of blogging.
So as way of saying thank you for sticking around, I am going to be giving away a gorgeous theBalm NUDE ‘tude eye-shadow palette
I first got this palette back in November and it quickly became my go-to for a smoky berry eye, perfect for winter or if was feeling a little vampy.
My base was burgundy matte finish Sexy, black matte Serious, finishing off with a bold highlight from white Sassy under my tear duct. I then experimented with peachy toned shimmering Stubborn and frosted taupe Selfish to create slightly different looks.
Then I went off to New York and bought 75% of Sephora so these poor naked ladies fell to the back of my makeup drawer and were forgotten about. That was until the Debenhams SS16 Beauty Press Show where I got chatting to the lovely team at theBalm and was reminded just how versatile this little number is.
Since then I have been playing around with pretty pink Spring looks using Stubborn, peach shimmer shadow Stand-offish, and once again dipping back into Sexy and Sassy.
As well as a golden summer look which I chat through on my YouTube channel.
The 12 silky smooth shadows range from neutral to bold, sparkly to matte, making it easy to create a look to suit every occasion.
The buttery, smooth textures of the shadows make them beautifully blendable and the formula is highly pigmented. The only shadow which did not live up to this glowing review is Silly which seems to be slightly drier and sheerer than the rest.
These shadows are housed within a cardboard case, though not my favourite style of packaging due to it getting grubby easily, it is thin, durable, and droppable which is needed if you are as accident prone as I am!
Inside there is a double ended brush and large mirror which is perfect for travel, and each shadow is placed is strategically to cover up naked ladies – keeping in line with theBalm’s quirky branding. The eyeshadow palette I am giving away also comes with ‘Put a Lid on It’ primer as an added bonus.
The reason I have chosen to give this palette away over some of my other favourites is due to Nude’tude’s versatility, there really is a shade to suit every style.
